How to Protect Your Hair From The Summer Sun – 5 Easy Ways

Summer is the best time to enjoy vacations as many of us get enough holidays to stay away from burning sun. Also it is the best time to enjoy mangoes and other seasonal fruits. On the other hand, summer is also considered to be a threatening call for our beauty, as the sun rays can damage our skin and hair badly. During summer, the oil glands of our scalp gets stimulated, and makes our hair oily or frizzy which in turn makes our hair look dull and lifeless. A beautiful and shiny hairwill always be a plus point to our overall appearance, depending on your hair style and health.

How to Do a 5-Minute Face in an Uber

Watch and learn.

Some days you have no choice but to get ready in a rush. Getting flawless skin on the go, though, can be a-not-so seamless process. Compact foundation can look caked-on; loose powder and a bottle of liquid base are makeup bombs waiting to happen. Until now. L'OrĂ©al Paris put a liquid base in a spill-proof cushion: True Match Lumi Cushion. Push the antimicrobial applicator puff against the pigment-laden sponge to dispense just the right amount of sheer coverup, then tap it against your skin for natural-looking coverage. It's so easy that even an Uber weaving through traffic can't stop you from creating glowy skin fast. For extra polish, tap on some highlighter, swipe on a lipstick (like the vibrantL'OrĂ©al Paris Color Riche Lip Color in Tropical Coral shown here), and finish with mascara. Now, get ready to face the day like a boss.

A Round of Applause for Jennifer Aniston, Who Will Give the World "Second Skin" to Cure Wrinkles

Saggy skin may soon become a distant and icky memory, and we owe it all to Jennifer Aniston. Sort of. At least, we owe it all to Jennifer Aniston and a bunch of super-smart scientists.

This Plate Literally Sucks Calories Out of Your Meal

So you can enjoy greasy food in peace.

Imagine eating healthier without changing a thing about your meal. No cutting portions, no adding vegetables, just enjoying you food–even the greasy stuff–as-is. All you'd have to do is change your china.
Advertising company BBDO Bangkok has teamed up with the Thai Health Promotion foundation to create the AbsorbPlate, their answer to the country's stir-fry and deep-fry-heavy cuisine (Thailand has the second-highest obesity rate in Southeast Asia).
Inspired by the surface of a sponge, the plate contains 500 holes that sucks up oil from a meal. It can soak up 7ml of oil, about 30 calories, per meal. Consider it the more high-tech version of sopping up your pizza slice with a napkin–might not be much, but still makes you feel just a liiitttle better.
It's not available for purchase and may just exist in the minds of the advertisers, SIGH, but it's a pretty neat idea. If a self-twirling spaghetti fork can exist, surely this can be reality one day?

Smoothies Are a Lie

Busting the "health halo" surrounding these fruity beverages.

    BY

Smoothies, in theory, are pretty brilliant. You can stuff two cups' worth of spinach in there, along with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, chia seeds, and voila, that's already half of your daily recommended dose of fruits and veggies in just one drink. Getting lots of nutrients in one easy to consume drink is great. But it doesn't necessarily mean that smoothies are healthy. .
A recent New York Times story reports that you are likely consuming more calories and sugar when drinking a smoothie than when eating whole fruits and vegetables. According to dietitian and nutritionist Sarah Krieger, people often overdo it by drinking 20- or 24-fluid-ounce smoothies–that's the size of a Venti Starbucks–especially if you're buying from a store that adds loads of sweeteners and calorie-adding nut butters.
