Fact or Fiction: Can Your Shampoo Really Lose Its Cleansing Power?

Dealing with oily hair is annoying enough, but feeling like it's still dirty right after you spent all that time (OK, fine, maybe like 15 minutes) washing? The worst.

Exactly How to Protect Your Hair and Scalp from the Sun

We're talking actual head-to-toe sun protection, people.

Spoiler alert: Skipping out on that sun protection is one big beauty faux pas. Read on to find out why and, of course, how to keep your locks and your scalp from sunburn.

Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford's Shopping Trip Could Easily Be an Ad For Jeans
With wind in their hair, hands in their pockets, and smizes well-suited for the catwalk, you'd think that Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford were about to show off the latest designer collection. But nope — the mother-daughter duo were just enjoying a shopping trip in Malibu, CA, thus proving that no matter where they're headed, they're always channeling their inner models.
Dressed in solid tops and jeans, the two showed off their similar casual-cool style, and if someone told us this outing was actually a denim campaign, we'd be inclined to believe them. Take a look at Kaia and Cindy putting their fashion choices and stunning looks on display, then check out why Kaia has started dressing like Kendall Jenner.

12 Curly Hair Hacks That Will Completely Change Your Life
Having curly hair brings me such joy. The springy ringlets are indicative of my large personality, but I didn't always know how to care for my coils. About eight years ago, I was clueless about all the unwritten rules (like no more shampoo, brushes, or towels.) And the commandments vary by hair type, too. A woman with waves can't live by the same hacks that I rely on day to day for my Afro-texture hair.

Pastel Hair: 5 Ways to Choose a Soft Color For Summer
Since rainbow hair first started trending in the past few years, we've fallen hard for all ways of wearing this style: colorful roots, secret underlights, and, now, pastels.
Just as one could lighten their brunette, blond, or red locks for Summer, it's possible to take a bold rainbow hue and turn it into a soft pastel. It's a subtle variation on the trend — but one that will still result in Instagram-worthy color. While the old DIY lemon juice hack works to add natural highlights, the complexities of achieving a pastel shade tend to require a professional stylist — read on for inspiration you can take to your next appointment.

5 Reasons It's Amazing to Be Pale in the Summer

On a lucky day, I pick the second-lightest foundation shade on the shelf at Sephora. (Drugstores don't even HAVE my color.) The undersides of my wrists look like they've never seen the sunlight (I don't think they have, actually), and a sweep of blush is my face's saving grace.

When This Skirt Trend Takes Over the Red Carpet, Just Know That Kendall Jenner Started It

Considering Kendall Jenner was pioneer of hip-bone-baring slit dresses, it's only natural the star would be one of the first to try a different leggy trend: the extreme asymmetrical skirt. Stepping out at the London launch of The Estée Edit, the model put her a good portion of her body on display, wearing a David Koma bodysuit and printed skirt that exposed her thigh on one side, while appearing somewhat modest on the other.
Will this be the new nearly naked style to take over the red carpet? Only time will tell. For now, take a look at Kendall's ensemble ahead. Then, see another piece this stylish star loves:the duster coat.

The Truth About Belly Fat

 The Truth About Belly Fat

Surprise: Everyone has some belly fat, even people who have flat abs.
That's normal. But too much belly fat can affect your health in a way that other fat doesn't.
Some of your fat is right under your skin. Other fat is deeper inside, around your heart, lungsliver, and other organs.
It's that deeper fat -- called "visceral" fat -- that may be the bigger problem, even for thin people.

Victoria's Secret Will No Longer Sell Clothes, Shoes, or Accessories

Stock up before it's too late.

The days of being able to buy a tunic, shorts, or sandals from Victoria's Secret are numbered: The company will stop selling shoes, accessories, and apparel, it announced (per Fashionista), and will just offer its lingerie, Pink, and Beauty lines. The selection available online will be the same as in-stores after the transition is complete.
The move comes just weeks after it was reported in April that the company will no longer sell swimwear either. Victoria's Secret is restructuring, in part because of poor profits, Fashionista reports. Its quarterly report showed a decrease of 7 percent, with beauty the lowest selling category.
Update, 10:45: Victoria's Secret provided the following comment in regards to their swim line, specifically:
In order to better focus our resources on core merchandise categories, we have decided to eliminate non-core businesses including swim in our Victoria's Secret lingerie business and shoes, accessories and apparel that were offered in our digital channel but not in stores.

Katy Perry Channels the Dancing Lady Emoji at amfAR's Annual Gala in Cannes
Katy Perry hit the red carpet at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes on Thursday looking like the actual human equivalent of the dancing lady emoji. The singer struck a series of poses for photographers and showed off her stunningMarchesa ruffled red gown in all its glory; nearby, her boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, also walked the red carpet, though the couple didn't stop for any snaps together. Katy and Orlando touched down in the South of France over the weekend and were spotted soaking up the sun together on a friend's yacht. Their PDA-filled outing came just days after images surfaced of Orlando cozying up to Selena Gomez at a club in Las Vegas and Katy expertly shut down the cheating rumors on social media.

Britney Spears Makes a Jaw-Dropping Appearance at the Billboard Music Awards
Britney Spears can do no wrong. The singer, who performed and is being honored at the Billboard Music Awards, made a jaw-dropping appearance on Sunday night as she stepped out on the magenta carpet looking like a real-life goddess. Not only did she show off her killer figure as she strutted her stuff for the cameras, but her see-through black lace Reem Acra ensemble definitely gave us nostalgia from her "Stronger" days. The hotness continued as she opened the night with an incredible medley of her greatest hits. Britney is certainly bringing to the heat. Bask in all of her gorgeousness.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO BOUGHT A $23,650 GIFT FOR ONE VERY SPECIAL WOMAN IN HIS LIFE

Sadly, it wasn't me.

Your boo boo Leonardo DiCaprio, a man who loves the Earth and its women (particularly the blonde Victoria's Secret Angels among them), did something quite sweet for his #1 girl, his dear mom Irmelin. Leo reportedly bought a $18,000 Chanel handbag for her, according to Page Six, during the Heart Fund's Generous People Dinner Gala in Cannes (so it's a philanthropic gift!).

He also won her a $5,650 silk scarf from Innangelo, a fashion line by Inna Zobova, a Russian—you guessed it—model. These gifts are additions to last year's gifts that he bought his mom in Cannes, when Leo outbid Paris Hilton for $11,300 Chanel handbag for Irmelin.
Well, you know what they say: You can tell a lot about how a man will treat his girlfriend by the way he treats his mom...

Fish-Ball Skin Cream Is The Latest Korean Beauty Craze

For some of us, adhering to a skin-care regimen doesn’t come naturally. I wish my mom had spent half as much energy on skin care as she did indoctrinating me to brushing my teeth day and night. So while I’m pretty safe from my teeth rotting and falling out anytime soon, I’ve still got training wheels on when it comes to getting through the annoying-as-hell process of maintaining my skin, especially at the end of a long day when all I want to do is dive into bed and binge-watch Made in Chelsea until I pass out.

You've heard of it. Everyone has heard of it. It's called Botulinum toxin, a.k.a. Botox.

Maybe you know someone who's tried it, or maybe you've tried it yourself. (No judgment.) But with this injectable treatment, there is a lot more than meets the eye. Ahead, 20 things you might not know about Botox.

I Drank A Gallon Of Water A Day For Better Skin — & Here's What Happened

I'm a fairly healthy person — I do what I can to feel good, while still enjoying my life. I wake up at the crack of dawn for yoga and eat a fairly balanced diet, but I'll also snag that last slice of pizza if you don't get to it first. But one thing I've been told over and over again is that I don't drink enough water.

During my checkups, my doctors would tell me the horrible migraines that left me incapacitated for days might have to do with dehydration. My derm said that my acne would likely improve if I drank more water. And every aesthetician I've ever been to would tsk-tsk when I told them how little water I imbibed on a daily basis. Water, it seemed, was the answer to all of my problems.

The Most Basic '90s Manicure Is Back

But it's not what you think. We've seen French manicures all over the runways for the past few seasons now — but basic they are not. Gone are the white tips with nude-polish topcoats that were a staple in every sorority from the '90s to the aughts. Instead, we're seeing manicurists breathe new life into contrast tips thanks to colors, metallics, graphic shapes, and negative space.

And it's trickling down from the catwalk to the nail salon. “We’re definitely seeing a recurrence of the French manicure," says Eleanor Langston, CEO of Paintbox. "But it’s more updated and modern. We’ve done many evolutions of this design over the past year-and-a-half.” (Like the one pictured here.)

Ahead, we take a look back at where the French mani came from, how much it's changed, and the endless possibilities to come.
